Call of duty 6 (More Rumours)..
Again before call of duty world at war is released, there are more talks / rumor’s floating around that call of duty 6 has been pushed back to 2010 now, while previously the rumored dates (ball park figures) were aiming for the end of 2009.
Call of duty world at war will be a big hit this year and one would be be questioned for thinking that it will certainly still be a hot game towards the end of 2009, you just need to look at the rest of the call of duty series to realize just how much impact this game has on the general market, the call of duty community is now 11 million strong (quite impressive).
Activision would be stupid to release games that overlap in other, I am sure the investors would be glad to hear the game has been pushed back.
Here is a Quote from gamecyte:
“At Activision Blizzard’s analyst day in Santa Monica, Activision Publishing CEO Mike Griffith just revealed that Call of Duty 6 is being developed by Infinity Ward for a 2010 release… and that the company has every intention to “monetize” the series’ newfound online popularity with both it and Call of Duty: World at War.
Though Activision Blizzard CEO Bobby Kotick had previously confirmed a new Call of Duty would appear in 2009, Griffith told attendees and online listeners that “for calendar year 2010, Infinity Ward is already at work on the next installment in the franchise.”
Now this is good news as with such other games coming out “Far Cry 2” call of duty world at war will be good enough for now, but as for call of duty 6 well they are going to have to implement new features and delaying the release of call of duty 6 will certainly give Activision time to come up with some new features and call of duty game modes styles, perks, weapons, maps and new server features.
