Punkbuster confirmed for call of duty world at war
After some recent rumors floating about, we thought we would put this to rest pretty quickly. Call of duty world at war will 110% use Punkbuster as its primary Anti-Cheat system. Alot of call of duty fans were calling for punkbuster not to be included and for some other companies to step in and take control.
Now as a gamer myself i have seen how out of hand call of duty 4 got when and how ineffective punkbuster was at deterring cheaters, however this was not all punkbuster’s fault some server admins required you to turn punkbuster off this was to help remove some of the lag (well so they say) call of duty 4 Cracked servers & call of duty players exploiting glitches was a worry i will admit. Now Punkbuster is a great company and does try it hardest to keep us gamers happy and having a good time, Lets hope call of duty world at war / call of duty 5 & Punkbuster have looked into these issues a little further and have hopefully corrected some of the code exploits.
Here is an official statement from Punkbuster:
“Activision has contracted with Even Balance, Inc. to integrate PunkBuster™ Anti-Cheat software into the game Call of Duty®: World at War™ developed by Treyarch. Activision and Call of Duty are registered trademarks and World at War is a trademark of Activision Publishing, Inc. All rights reserved.”
